Ojibway Resort on Pike Bay Cass Lake MN
Ojibway Resort is the only resort located on Pike Bay. Pike Bay is the last lake in a popular chain of lakes in northern Minnesota.
Located in the Chippewa National Forest there are opportunities to see much wildlife. Currently there are two eagle nests within a quarter of a mile from the resort. Two or three are visible from the lake. The Chippewa National Forest is home to the largest population of bald eagles in the lower 48. You will also possible see blue herons, pelicans and osprey.
The National Forests of the western Great Lakes region have among the richest diversity of breeding bird species in North America, and travelers on the Migizi Trail will see and hear a variety of forest bird species.
The Migizi Trail, named with the Ojibwe word for bald eagle, is a scenic nineteen mile paved loop through the Chippewa National Forest. You will see several of Minnesota’s state tree, the Norway pine (Red pine). These trees range from sixty to nearly one hundred fifty feet in height. There are four access points along the trail route.
We are a very serene resort located in the Chippewa National Forest in northern Minnesota. You will more than likely hear owls at least one night of your stay, and you will hear the Minnesota state bird, the loon.
We have pontoons and boats available to rent. We also have five kayaks for our guests to use as they please at no charge.
Each cabin includes a fire ring, a grill and a picnic table. There is also a huge pile of wood cut and ready to be used by our guests.
We are the only place on the lake that sells gas, and we also sell ice.
