THE RETREAT LODGE
The 1200 sq. ft. Retreat Lodge built in 2007 will comfortably hold up to 18 people for a craft retreat, and it will hold more people for a reunion or similar function. The well-lit lodge has its own stair free entrance for easy loading and unloading of supplies. The lodge also features several other amenities to make your retreat more comfortable including:
- A 6′ table for each guest (up to 18 people)
- Task lighting, power strips, and waste baskets
- New in 2020. 85” 4K flat panel TV with surround sound, stereo, blue ray player, Apple TV with Netflix, Disney +. You have the ability to connect your own device (smart phone, I pad etc.).
- WBR does not provide the HDMI cable. You (guest) provide the cable that works for your device. All controlled though an easy to use wall mounted key pad.
- The meeting area also has enhanced Wi-Fi.

Located on beautiful Bay Lake, a 2,392 acre lake of bays, points and islands, that is one of the top bass fishing lakes in Minnesota. A short 2 hour drive from the Twin Cities, brings you to the heart of the lakes area. We are located 10 minutes from Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota’s premier walleye factory. 20 minutes from Grand Casino and 20 minutes from Brainerd. A variety of golf courses, tennis courts, restaurants, movies, amusement parks,museums and shopping are all a short drive away.
We have 20, 1-4 bedroom clean, modern, knotty pine cabins; all with AIR CONDITIONING, fully equipped kitchens, including microwaves and cable TV. Wireless internet. All our cabins have decks with picnic tables and Weber cookers. We have a POOL & HUGE HOT TUB (new summer of 2015), children’s playground equipment, ping pong, horseshoes, volleyball, tetherball and basketball, as well as a bonfire pit on the lakeshore; perfect for hotdogs and s’mores.
The safe sand beach, enclosed by a U-shaped dock, with its gradual slope and no drop-off is a constant source of fun on this spring-fed lake. Bay Lake has never heard of dog days. We offer boats, canoe, paddleboats, kayak paddle boards and pontoon; or bring your own boat and tie it safely to one of our many docks.
Bay Lake has wonderful bass, walleye, crappie, sunfish, and northern pike fishing. With its many bays, Bay Lake is safe on the windiest of days.
We have a store on the premises with milk, bread, snacks, sundries and ice cream. We also have a grill featuring pizza . With 79 years of family enjoyment, we make the perfect family vacation experience.
